the gear ratio should be whatever it is stock unless you have upgraded gears.

and just an fyi, it will already be set where u need it as it will already be programmed in your jeeps computer, so unless you have new gears, you dont need to mess with it any.

The only thing that is going to give you more power are the performance tunes for the different octane values.

The Flashpaq will not trick your JK into believing it has a lower gear ratio. You should always use the actual gear ratio and tire size that you have.

On these performance tunes...do you have to use the corresponding octance level for the tune? I know that seems like a dumb question, but I had read another thread that was not very conclusive on that point.

I have not tried using a lower Octane on the Performance tune on my JK....

but I can tell you on my Dodge Magnum R/T with the 5.7L I used 87 Octane fuel with my Superchips set to the Performance Tune (which Superchips recommended 91 Octane)....I actually got better fuel mileage than the 87 Octane Tune

BUT using 87 Octane fuel on the Performance Tune did make a slight difference performance wise a little more slugglish than not using 91 Octane fuel. I only did this a few times for an experiment...Long term doing this...
