Default Manual Shifter for Atlas 4-speed?

Has anyone installed a manual shifter for the Atlas 4-speed reduction housing? I'm wondering if the electric shifter is the only way to go or not. :-)

Thanks!

I haven't done an install, but I had the opportunity to talk with an Atlas rep at the Moab vendor show. He said that he has seen people install the planitary shifter under the drivers seat and just to the left of the center console.

There are some pictures around here somewhere. Down under the seat, just under the seat adjustment handle is a good place. I've seen it between the seat and E brake handle as well as pointing toward the left under the driver's seat so you have to open your door to shift. That's alright as you really, really don't want to be in gear or moving when you try to shift.

I run an electrical shifter and had quite a few problems with it at first. Atlas was very supportive and I had to do a few modifications that I felt Atlas should have taken care of before they ever released the thing. Anyhow once everything was worked out, it has worked like a dream for me.
