How much lift for 36x15.50 Claws?
Hey guys im runnin 4" suspension and 35's now. I ran some 36x15.50 Mickey T claw radials on my last truck('05 f150 w 8.5") and really liked them. Is any body runnin these and if so how much lift is needed? Thanks
it depends on how much lift you really got but if you can flex them out and still have alittle room and have a really wide backspaced wheel then you will be fine
also you will want to regear
if you need more lift i would get flat fenders

I just looked up the bsm on my eagle 079's and its 4.466. Wonder if this would work. Im gettin a new front bumper(more weight) and was gonna add a 1" spacer in the front to compensate for that. Just seems like I will need more lift. This is my first jeep so Im just not sure(always had lifted trucks).

As 4.5" BS is a good clearance # for 12.5's...and 15.5's would intrude another 1.5" inboard, about 3" of BS would be all that's left if we leave the same margin/fudge factor as 4.5's gave us for the 12.5's.
That extra 1.5" is about the width of a spacer...so if you have rims that already work with 12.5's for example/~ 4.5" BS, spacers would be an option if you wanted to use the same rims.
As for lift to fit them...well, your ride height would need to be only a little higher than 35's, as the 36's are only sticking up 1/2" more...not much difference.
If you don't rub on compression now, but another 1/2" would rub, that's all you'd need to add, and so forth.
Your fenders, outboard though, will be in harms way due to the extra width sticking out, so on compression of the suspension, the rubber will hit the fenders.
Removal of the fenders, or replacing them with new fenders that are not in the way, can address this.
A BL wouldn't hurt either, and would also help avoid evil, uptravel robbing bumpstop extensions, etc.
