Default Difficulty on installing 2.5 inh teraflex Coil lift with shocks

Hey everybody,

How difficult is it to install a 2.5 inh teraflex lift kit on a 2010 jeep wrangler sahara 2 door jeep??? how many hours should I give myself to put it on the only reason why I ask is because it is my daily driver and i am going to hopefully start early in the morning on a saturday and get done in the afternoon because i have to drive somewhere that evening.

Thanks for the help!!!!!

It took me and a buddy 6 hours to install a TF 2.5" lift yesterday. We had lunch and plenty of beer drinking time in there as well. We probably could have done it in half that time (or less) if I was really in a rush to get it done.

I enjoy tinkering with my rigs so I'm never in a mad rush to get things done.

I just installed a lift on my JK on saturday. Took me 4.5 hours, including getting tools out, and putting them back away and cleaning up the garage. However I have installed quite a few lifts, so I pretty much know exactly what to do.

But you should expect to dedicate a day to it.

I (with the help of TORN and Interceptor_1972) just installed that lift a couple weeks ago. Took us pretty much all day--10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or so. We weren't in a hurry, but much of the time was spent by one of us chasing down a bolt that busted before reaching specified torque value--7/16" grade 8 hardware is not carried by most hardwares stores, including some of the big retailers. You might scope that out first, just in case--we ultimately found what we needed at Lowe's (but not Home Depot). Having Gearwrench ratcheting wrenches will really help. Read the instructions that come with the lift, then reread them, before you actually start. Have a computer with Internet access such that you can look for answers/pictures here on the forum, and maybe bookmark a related thread or two. BTW: We also swapped front and rear trackbars, whcih added maybe an hour to the job. Good luck!

If it hasn't already been mentioned, getting the front coils in are a pita! If you have access to one or can borrow one from an auto zone or something, try and get a coil compressor. Makes getting the coils in a lot easier if you do the install the way i did. Didn't have much droop in the axle from the frame to pop those suckers in without the compressor.

If you unbolt the swaybar/trackbar/brakes/lower control arms then it's not a issue.

I did my RC 4" lift by myself in about 7 hours. And it was my first lift to ever install. Also, spent a good 1 1/2 hours tracking down a pitman arm separator.

It took me about 5 hours by myself to put this kit in....If you have an auto, remove (temporarily) the trans support bar, it will give you a ton of extra flex room...I didnt need coil compressors or anything...also, I put the bumpstop extensions in some boiling water for a few minutes and they popped right in...same with the rears...

Hope this helps and good luck..
