Default Installed Hypertech Max Energy 2010 JK Review

Well thanks to Robar (moderator) who was ever so kind enough to trade his hypertech for my Brand new in box superchips heads up we just paid shipping

It arrived today and i plugged it in the jeep and it said not supported.
i Re updated it and it worked like a charm

Step one:
Plug it in to the OBD2 port. read what it say and follow the directions. very easy

step two:
Pick which tune you want.
Stock, Regular, premium. I went with Regular

Step three: Tire Size/ my 33inch duratracs came up to a 32.50 for perfect MPH via GPS

step four: gear selection/ 3.21

Cooling fan temp change. i hit no

Then it copy's the stock tune and then writes the new tune on to your jeep..

i started it up and drove about 3 miles and noticed a slight miss around 1,300 and 1,900 when i hit the gas let off and back on..

went home re tuned it.. BAM! perfect tune No hesitation or surge.

Overall:

I am EXTREMLY EXTREMLY pleased with it..
where i had to down shift to 4th on my daily commute to work, i stay in 5th and it pulls harder than 4th did stock

my mpg from drving about 135miles today.
before: avg 16.1-16.8
now
belive it or not 20.8-21.4

The throttle response is absolutly better and has no lag time... if it does before was so bad i'd take .00002 sec better and be happy

as Jay@hypertech said

they tuned it for the Daily Driving and weekend warrior

you can defintly tell that part throttle driving is MUCH MUCH more pleasing and has alot more power without putting my size 14 boot through the floor board

i took some videos and pictures and im extremly happy with it

I fully reccomend it to anyone who has a 2010.

and Customer service is TOPNOTCH!!

thanks JAY and Robar!!

Good to hear, I'm going to be swapping out tires for the 33 inch Duratrac's soon and was considering the Hypertech. Thanks for the info!

I checked tracking earlier today and it said it was out for delivery. Glad you got it. I can tune my JK now. I was waiting to make sure taking my JK back to stock worked before I messed with mine. Glad you like it.

Are your mpg figures from the computer dash thingy or did you calculate it yourself? 3mpg's sounds too good to be true. That's a huge improvement. That's $10 less per fill up, which adds up!!

I am glade to hear you are happy please keep us updated.

Listen up if you have a Max Energy and you would like lights turned off and so on. Send me your SN# and your contact info in a pm (let your voice be heard) give me the ammo I need to win our fight. Hypertech is a one-owner company all I have to do is convince him.

If you buy a Max Energy new and decide, you don't like our tune return it within 30 days of purchase for a full purchase price refund.

This is now on my list, especially after the superchip horror stories I've been hearing.
