got one in the rear with a good years worth of daily driving and off roading on it...love it for my needs...ie not lots of rock crawling.....I really like the concept of LSD when off and Locked when on....
Crawled on some rocks once with it, no problems at all, stayed locked without slippage for me.
I have heard some say that it will slip if given enough torque....I haven't encountered this.
Keep in mind that it is a clutch based limited slip, and when electromagnetically locked it simply squeezes the plates together good 'n tight...eventually the clutch plates will wear out....I have no idea on a time frame though.
for the price and function I say

Sure, Auburn offers a program called the D-Rex (Differential Replacement Exchange)
from their website "Best Guarantees in the Industry - we back up our performance advantages by offering the best warranty in the business: a one-year warranty, plus an additional four years of coverage. D-REX stands for Differential-Replacement EXchange. We will replace your unit, no matter the reason, within the first 4 years after purchase for the price of a competitor’s clutch pack. Every part you get will be brand new–the unit comes assembled, tested, certified, ready for installation. No more rebuilding and mixing old worn parts with new parts! "
You can't do it yourself, but send them the unit and they'll send you a rebuild.
Unfortunately, I can't partake in this as I had to drill out my flange to accept the 1/2" ring gear bolts my 4.10 gears needed. But some of our JK gears came with 7/16" ring gear bolts (mostly the early run '07s) and most aftermarket gears come pre drilled for 7/16" and 1/2" ....fix....you would still need to drill out the ECTED's flange from 3/8" to 1/2" to mount ring gear

total fix here....

I rechecked and the auburn ECTED comes drilled to 3/8" meaning that you would still need to drill out to 1/2" in order to fit OEM or aftermarket ring gears

during installation when the carrier and everything is out of the housing you drill and tap a hole into the top of the housing like I did here...you can see where the wires go up and out

and finished
