Default Is 4.5" bs. -12 offset ok for stock jk

I am ordering pro comps with a 4.5 backspace -12 offset.
Tires will be 275-70-17.
Is this Ok on a stock jeep.

The backspacing is fine. The offset of the stock wheels is strong positive. Switching to negative offset will affect handling and axle loads. Try to maintain positive or at least zero offset with the same backspacing.

I always thought backspacing and offset were the same thing...

Guess I better do some research and figure out the difference.

FWIW, tons of people run procomps on their jeeps and its just fine. You will probably like the look a lot better to as it will have a wider stance.

I can not seem to find 4.5 bs with a positive or 0 offset,
All the ones I have looked at are all negative.All the 0 or plus are all over 5 Backspace

How about if I go with the same wheel but the backspace is 5.47 offset is plus 12
would that work?
