Default Gibson or Rugged Ridge exhaust

I have an 07 4 dr with a stock exhaust. I am looking at either a Rugged Ridge header and exhaust combo, roughly $700.00, or a Gibson header and exhaust combo, roughly $1100.00. Is anyone here running either of these combos and what are your thoughts? Thanks for any help and advice.

I know that a number of people are running the Gibson. I would steer clear of the gibson catback exhaust. Their headers are decent at least. nothing wrong with mix n' match.

Gibson Headers with MBRP catback anyone?

After reading through some other threads I just ordered the MBRP catback. Guess I should have read some before posting. I have not decided on headers yet either after reading some other posts.

I have heard a lot of people say that headers are not worth the money on these engines. That and due to the increased heat they have a tendency to melt your spark plug wires.

I have the gibson headers and exhaust. The headers are ok but the exhaust showed up with bent hangers. Gibson asked me for pictures and they came to the same conclusion that the hangers were bent at the factory. Even with all that and their lifetime warranty they want me to send the exhaust back so they can inspect it before giving me a new one. Oh yeah and I gotta pay for the shipping. Don't buy Gibson!

I've talked with a lot of people about exhaust systems, over the years, and I've never met anyone who said that headers are worth the money.

I sell a great exhaust relocation kit. You have to relocate the evap canister, but if you're looking for the best high clearance system, this is it. All stainless steel and mandrel bent. I have one of the top U.S. performance exhaust manufacturers make this to my own specification. The muffler is the quietest one that I've heard and I've tested and compared many. Here's a link to details and there are some sound clips at the bottom of the page: http://www.jeepswag.com/jeepswagmuff/index.htm

I think this is the most under-rated kit that I sell. And you'll be hard pressed to find any complaints about any of my products.

Glad to hear you picked up an MBRP system! What version did you go with? Offroad relocation or standard rear muffler design? Let us know what you think once you get it installed!

Also, FYI... Ripp should release their long tube headers soon. I would wait for those.
