Default Bent Tie Rod - Best replacement option?

What are the issues driving with a bent tie rod, does it hose the alignment?

Whats the pro's/cons in replacing with a complete assembly, versus others that do not include the ends?

Worried if replacing with an 'unbreakable' assembly what would be the next weakest link that would break?

"...designed to accept OEM Tie Rod Ends at the pitman arm...

* Requires the purchase of two OEM Tie Rod Ends from the JK stock drag link at the Pitman arm location."

accepts OEM ends, but they must be purchased?

the rock krawler tie rod is just the beefed up rod. you need to buy the replacment ends from the dealer... or napa.

No, the stock tie rod end is smaller than the stock pitman arm end. Rock Krawler chose to use the larger pitman arm ends on their tie rod.

Default drag link?

are you referring to the drag link or the tie rod? the tie rod doesn't attach to the pitman arm.

The stock tie rod ends will be no good if you go with the rock crawler tie rod par. You will have to purchase 2 DRAG LINK ends that attach the the pitman arem of the steering box. They are beefier, I would stick with the OEM parts as the after market ones I have seen fail. The part number for the OEM draglink end is 52060049AE. Remember you will need 2 of these. If ordered from a sponsor on here they aren't that bad of a price. Hope this helps.

Default excellent!

thanks for the diagram!

i crushed mine on rock and actually dented my front diff cover - was in some mud and crawling over rocks slowly was not an option. it's always fun breaking stuff, plus it keeps all the good folks at Tera, RK, Currie, etc employed!

thanks again
