Anyone using the Rock Krawler wedges and JKS spring reatiner??
Is anyone using the Rock Krawler rear spring wedges and the JKS rear spring retainers? Is the bolt on the JKS spring reatainer long enough to make it thru the the wedge. Thanks for your help.
I agree with running a lower spring retainer as well, i also reused the ones from my TeraFlex kit.
All it is is a big fender washer, a bolt and a locknut.
The hardest part is getting the nut to stay in place kind of under and inside the rear spring mount while tightening, i had to chase it out of there a few times to get it started (i lost the special little wrench TeraFlex provided to hold it)

Thanks will need to look into this. I saw the TF retainer kit and tool is only $16... but is it something you can piece together at the hardware? Anyone got pics of the tera retainers installed?
I dont ave any pics, but doesnt matter, it would be the same as post # 2 in this thread anyways.
The tera kit is the same as the Currie lower kit (and I assume the JKS one mentioned.) I dont see why you couldnt piece it together if you could find big enough washers. My local hardware didnt carry anything that big, I would have had to go to a supply house to find them.

As Happy says, TF is basically the same as the one pictured above--a bolt, a fender washer (large enough to capture the bottom coil of the spring) and a flanged nut. The flanged nut sets in TF's special little tool, which is simply a piece of metal bent just right and with a cut-out shaped like the nut to allow you to easily hold the nut in place between the axle housing and the bottom of the perch--there's not much room to get much of anything up there. With the tool, installation is a snap. Without, you'll probably struggle and cuss for a little while, but it will eventually go. The tool is not one time use. LOL. If anyone who lives nearby has a TF lift, then they may have this tool.
