Default Tera BB w/ Rubi Springs and Shocks on an X

Hey guys, I just picked up a Teraflex 2.5 BB (with shock adapters) and I wanted to beef my 2008 Wrangler X 2 Door suspension up with Rubi Unlimited springs and shocks. I heard that the springs and shocks will add 1 to 1.5 inches alone. I've also heard that with a lift over 2.5 inches, I'll need to modify my drive shafts or buy new ones. Will I need to do anything with the shafts if I put the Tera BB on with the Rubi shocks and springs? I am getting a set of Rubi springs and shocks for cheap, that is the only reason I am considering it. Is putting the rubi shocks and springs a waste of time? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did it with the leveling kit and it worked great, but an extra inch on top of that will be huge.

That's the exact same setup that I'm running and have been the last couple months. I love it. Very happy with it. I wheel it with the sway bar disconnected and flex the crap out of it and haven't had any shaft issues.

Just my input on the springs; I went from 56 rear springs to 60's which are the stiffest / tallest you can get from Jeep. I went from 14's to 16's in the front and ended up with ~3/4" lift up front and ~1-1/4" in the rear on my 2-door X. It rides so much better with the Rubi springs and shocks. It didn't used to have a rake but it does not so I plan to get the Teraflex leveling kit soon. Good luck.

thanks guys. Is the levelling kit necessary or just for appearance purposes?

My Rubicon 2dr. with bumper, winch skid plates and 14 springs (light spring rate) when changed to 17 front springs and a 2.5 BB front went up 3.75 inches. My mods had compressed the 14 springs ~1.25 inches.

Next day I flexed it pretty good over some desert rocks disconected and tore the clamp as well as the boot right off the front drive shaft.

If you have the auto ya gotta run a new DS.

But with a 6speed this wouldn't be an issue?

With the much lift on a 2dr, you are really going to need front lower adjustable control arms, and rear upper adjustable control arms. Without them the steering will be pretty flightly, and the rear drive shaft angle wont be great.

X2 About what I would say also. Not sure about the front shaft with the 6-speed as I have the Auto, but the rear shaft angle will be really bad.

So what I am gathering here, the safest thing to do is to run the rubi shocks, the X springs and use the Tera BB? I am running an Automatic tranny and my ultimate goal is to get 35 inch tires under is. From what I've read the tera BB alone wont require any shock adjustment.
