Default Full traction 2" bb vs Teraflex 2.5" bb

I'm looking for an inexpensive way to clear larger tires for my unlimited rubicon. I'm leaning towards 34" m/t of some variety. Anyone have any experience with either of these lifts? They look very comprable in terms of price and the included parts. The one thing I'm wondering about is that the FT lift comes with a track bar relocation bracket while the .5" taller teraflex kit does not.

Also, which shocks are of higher quality between the two? And how does monotube compare to twin tube shock design when it comes to on and off road driving? Is it worth the price to upgrade to the monotubes?

Thanks,

Duffman

For the most part, a coil spacer lift is a coil spacer lift is a coil spacer lift. The TeraFlex kit will give you a bit more height but the Full Traction kit is about $50-$60 cheaper. Regarding the track bar relocation bracket, it will help you to recenter your axle but the shift you will see after installing your lift will be insignificant enough that it may not be necessary to install. As far as shocks go, hands down a set of monotube nitro shocks will provide a better ride than a set of twin tube hydros.

I too have been having this problem i know for sure i want the goodyear MTRs 305 70R 17 and i plan on getting the MT classic II or the dick cepek Dc-I wheels. but i can not decied between the terraflex 2.5 or the full traction 2?? since the full traction says for use with ONLY a 33" i am scared that a 34" will rub at full flex, but the terraflex says it will clear 35" and its only .5" high?? I have been following this formun forever now and it seems to me that wayoflife you know your stuff so what do you recomend if i want to run the goodyear 305 70R17 and MT classic II ? also what about backspacing is it needed?

Yikes, I don't know if I would go so far as to say that I know my stuff especially when I don't even have a JK yet but I am flattered that you would consider my opinion. As far as which lift to go with goes, I'm kinda wondering if maybe you should just be saving a few more pennies and start looking at a 3" coil lifts instead. The tires you want are pretty big and this is probably the smarter way to get the height you need to run them. But then, that's just my opinion. Regarding backspacing, you should be looking at wheels that have 5.5" or less and you will be fine

I would go with the Full Traction kit. If you already haven't, take a look at these pics of the kit

Very impressive
