is anyone else running this combo and did you have problems with the winch not lining up with the slot in the bumper? I had to use the holes to the right so the drum of the winch is shifted approx 2 inches to the right of the slot. If I use the holes that would allow the winch to be centered to the slot, the backing nuts that hold the hawse fairlead on are in the way of where the winch needs to sit. should I have an adapter plate for this? I had a hard time getting the line on because the line would not get to the right side of the drum without me guiding it with my finger which I'm not really comfortable with. Any ideas????
I have that bumper with the XRC 8 and had not issues when I followed the instuctions. Did you put the fairlead nut on the outside or the inside? The directions state the bolt goes from the inside out with the nut on the outside.
I got the XRC 10 comp and low and behold the F'n hook on the front only has a working load limit of 4k I am dealing with Smitty built right now to correct the problem. If they dont i will put a different hook on rated to 10k that should only cost me 100 bucks for the hammerlock and hook.

i did not follow the instructions. I'll have to look again. the nuts were square which i found odd but now that I think about it, i guess they would recess into the fairlead... I'll check it out tomorrow...
The square nuts are supposed to go into the feet of the winch... and with the rollers i had to put the nut on the outside as well to get it to fit. I just installed mine a few days ago and it went all smoothly. Did you have square nuts for the fairlead too?

Same issue. After reviewing the thread I reviewed my instruction multiple times. There is no suggestion on how to install the bolts on mine. Assumed the hex head was on the outside. Cleaner look.
I have the same issue with the winch mount. Guess I will swap out the bolts and move the winch.

big fat WLL 2tons right on the hook. WLL stands for working load limit wich means that is the weak link. I am waiting on a call back for about 4 days now I will give the the benefit it was easter weekend but I will call today. if no love I am calling the rigging store I use for work to sort out the hook and hammer lock.
