Default flashpaq with 3.21 gears??

has anyone done this for a 6-speed? i have been looking around and cant find much info on it. I know its not the same as a regear i just want the extra throttle response and try to get a little better milage with a tune but all the posts i have seen with the flashpaq are for 4.10s and higher gear ratios. thanks

I did the flashpaq with 3.21 gears and a 6-speed and it was a big help with my 35 inch MTR's. Jeep drives great and before without the flashpaq it was a total dog but now it feels great and I even can use 5th gear at 60mph.

I would highly recommend it.

Default huge improvement

with the flashpaq and my 35 bfg ATs its now drivable with 3.21s im not saying its great i just dont have the time to tear down my diffs and regear them . mix of driving for me on the 87 tune has been 15.6mpg . im definitely sold on the flashpaq and makes the jeep feel now just like stock with the stock tires.

As others have stated, a Flashpaq will help but it's not a replacement for gears. You should currently be avoiding 6th gear and the Flashpaq isn't going to change that. For better mileage you need to be keeping your vehicle up in the sweet spot of 2300 to 2700 rpms. Not to say that you can't roll at 1800 rpm on a lighter JK, but you can't do so efficiently.

A Flashpaq at most is going to buy you a 10% increase in power, where as even an upgrade to 4.56s will put an increase of 40% more power to the wheels out of the hole, and give you back unfettered use of 6th gear. That will make a huge difference in your drivability, although I wouldn't suggest not getting a Flashpaq as you should be there as well.

I ordered my gears and a flashpaq at the same time. Since the gears take hours to install and the flashpaq takes minutes, I have installed the flashpaq. Since I have not installed the gears I cant talk about the difference they made. But the flashpaq helps. It surely doesnt put the jeep back to stock in terms of power. But it does help. I feel that the flashpaq does make my jeep more responsive and I was able to fix the speedo from my tire size change. But if you are asking if the flashpaq is good enough to make a 6 speed with 3.21 gears and 33 inch tires nice to drive, no it does not. The flashpaq does help, but not enough to overcome the lack of power 3.21 gears give. Just do like I did and buy both.

I have the 3.21s with a 6speed and 32" Rubicon tires. It drives well enough for me, but I never use 6th gear anymore. I plan on going to 4.88s but that will be once I go to 35s. If you have 33" tires or less, I think you will be fine with the flashpaq. But, it won't be great. It mostly helps with the throttle response and the gas mileage is 1-2mpg better.
