Rancho tire carrier with stock bumper mod? Hanson carrier?
So in my continuing pursuit of awesomeness, I have been looking for an affordable and fairly cool rear bumper with tire carrier. Someone posted pics of a rancho carrier that was modified so that parts of the stock bumper still fit. Sadly, I have only been able to find the pics. Does anyone know the specs on how to do this?
I'm just weighing it as an option.
Also, does anyone who has run the Hanson tire carrier has any new opinions on it? I haven't found many "recent" posts. And yes, I do love the Or-Fab, but I am to dim-witted to install it.
Thanks for the help.

I don't know if you bought one yet, but have a Rancho rear bumper and tire carrier. I wouldn't buy it again if I had the choice. I would spend a little more and get something nicer. First off, the hinge point for the carrier is located inside that of the tailgate hinge, so you have to open the tire all the way until it hits (and there's not stop, so it will hit) the tail light to open your tailgate all the way. Second, there hinge design isn't as strong as others, it sags (even with my 33 inch tire) and i have to lift it to get it to close. On the closing issue, I had to re-drill and enlarge the retaining pin to hold it close also, because it came drilled wrong from Rancho. Plus the retaining pin design is somewhat primative compared to others. Lastly, the hi-lift mount is horrible, unless you cut your Hi-lift down to 36 inches. It covers up the license plate and when you open the carrier it can hit the body.
Just a few things I hate about mine. The price was nice compared to others, but now I'm going to lose my butt to sell it and buy something nicer.
