I got a 2010 Rubicon and I am looking into getting the Superchips Jeep Flashpaq . Would this void my warranty on the jeep ?

Ask the question to your local dealer. Some dealers are mod. friendly, others are not.

Out of curiousity, what specific aspects of the warranty did your dealership claim would become void and what specific harm did the dealership claim would be caused by the Superchips unit?

Considering that Jeep offers ZERO option to correct the speedometer (let alone the odometer) for putting on larger tires, yet sells lift kits that add to the ability to go much larger than stock size, I am not sure how they can say that a device that helps to correct that issue, and keep you LEGAL would void the warranty.

The device can easily restore your computer to factory specs for the dealer to work on the Jeep, and even flash the computer for repair issues as needed.

Methinks you need to find another dealer to work on your Jeep if that was their answer.

Don't tell them you're using a programmer. There may be issues with the SC variant--some folks claim that it doesn't fully uninstall--I'll let you pursue that issue separately. But, you should not take your Jeep into the dealership with the programmer software installed because if they decide to reprogram your vehicle--which seems to be their stock answer for anything they can't duplicate, LOL--you may run into other issues from as serious as a Jeep that's bricked, to a programmer that is useless because the installed program was never removed and is now missing from your JK. I have no evidence whatsoever that any of that has happened, but why take a chance? It's prudent to uninstall any aftermarket firmware change anytime you have the dealer working on your Jeep--even if it's something out of warranty.

My personal experience has been Yes to what Yoda said and Yes to part of what Mark said. My local dealer is "mod friendly" and my Flashpaq has not voided any part of my warranty. Likewise, I must return to factory before I take my Jeep into the dealership for ANY service work. As long as I follow that path everything is kool.

I was just told that if anything goes wrong , warranty won't cover it. And i would not take it in with the programmer , but I am sure they can figure out that one has been used on it , even after setting it back to factory settings

Then based on that "official answer" I think you should follow what Area-51 said and find another dealership.

X2 dealers are all different.
My nearest dealer (3 km from my home) is a very bad dealer concerning mods and warranty.

I go to another dealer (about 15 km) and he's mod. friendly.
