Default Bestop Trektop Header Modification

I've had my Trektop for about 2 weeks. The included header is okay, but the knobs are tough to work with on cold days--especially for my wife. I wish it clamped like the stock soft top header.

Will the Bestop "Wrangler Standard" header work with the Trektop? I think it's intended for safari tops. It''s on Quadtratec as item number 11122.102. Seems like an easy swap for $49.99, and I'd have the ease of clamping--a big help when the top suffers "shrinkage"

A week down and no replies. Surely someone has tried this, right?

I've had the same problem with my Trektop along with it leaking. I've pretty much stopped the leaking by pressing down on the roof from the top & reaching around & turning the knob to a point where its hard to get off when its time to go topless. I saw the same header & wondered the same thing.

I believe it will work but go ahead and call Quadratech and get them to tell you it will. I think they use the screw down style because it is a tighter fit. I have heard lots of complaints about it though.

Did anyone ever learn the outcome of this?

Thanks!
