Where the heck do you guys put your recovery straps, tie downs, jumper cables, tools, first aid kit, and whatever else you might carry around with ya???
I am thinking of getting the Smittybilt G.E.A.R. tailgate cover.

I think it fits the Jeep style well and seems very practical and versatile...the pouches can always be removed if need be and can also be relocated. Can always attach more pal/molle storage. I have the sub-woofer so I need to be able to organize around it. Anyone have one of these installed on their Jeep? I read that it requires some drilling? Any issues with installation or quality? Does it stay put on tailgate with some weight in it?
The seat covers look fantastic too!

I have come to notice Jeep owners have become very creative when it comes to storage, especially in the 2 door. First of all, the vast majority take the rear seat out. I had to. I put an interior cargo basket in so I have 2 levels of storage. I also store what I can in the compartment that's under the rear floor area. I also ended up putting in an overhead shelf in the front. It was either that, or clutter up my Jeep. I can store my Ipod, flashlight, weapon, gate opener, ham radio and more up there without it in the way. I even upgraded my subwoofer to a larger one (it's an all in one unit) more creative thinking. That is mounted behind my seat in front of the wheel well so it doesn't take up floor space. Try doing some searches on storage. You'll come up with all kinds of threads and pics. Great place to start.
All my crap (jumpers, full set of sockets and wrenches, etc.) fit in a bag i got from Lowes and stores nicely under the driver's seat. I do have the winch control, extra tow strap and some gloves stored in the rear hidden compartment though, but that doesn't fit much at all.

Taking it in another direction -I have the Tuffy security deck and its been great so far.
While I know nothing will be 100% secure, I feel a lot better be able to leave recovery gear & personal items in there (and out of sight)
My gear is split between recovery bags and fluids/misc organized in a milk crate.
