Default 3" TF Coils vs 2.5" TF Coils

How much taller are the 3" TF coils over the 2.5" TF coils? I just got the TF 2.5" coil lift kit with TF 9550 shocks, TF front lower control arms and JKS adjustable front and rear trackbars. I am just curious to see if it may be worth upgrading to the 3" kit in the future and what I would need if anything. I think the shocks work for both kits. I guess I would need a set of adjustable rear upper arms to correct driveline angle and maybe a set of brake line extensions for the front, but is that it?

What's the cost to upgrade just the coils?

you could also just throw 1/2" spacers on top of the 2.5 coils and get the extra height that way too, just a suggestion.

234 for front 234 for rear. Might as well buy the whole kit. And sell the 2.5 kit

I've got TF 3" on my JKU and met a fellow JK'er with a 2.5" coil lift this past weekend. Didnt bring my camera so I wasnt able to take any pictures, but here's what we noticed.

The 3" is higher in the rear by at least an inch
The 3" is almost the same height or just a hair taller up front - I'm running a bumper + winch, he had an AEV bumper, no winch.

I don't think going up to the 3" would net any noticeable gains over the 2.5".

If anything, grab some spacers or a BL. With the BL, you wont need to change any suspension components over what you already have.

4dr. But I think I agree with a few of the folks that have posted. I'm very happy with the amount of lift I have now. I don't forsee a front bumper, but may get the Or-Fab rear tire carrier, so the rear may sag a bit. We'll see.

I think the 3" will give me too much lift without heavy bumpers, winches, cargo racks, etc. Thanks for the replies.
