Default 15" wheels that fit without grinding?

Months ago I saw a thread about 15" wheels that had the proper back spacing for 12.5 width tires and didn't require any grinding of the brake caliper. I've searched and can't find it. I'm looking to go from 17" down to 15" .

Thanks

What is the reasoning behind putting a 15" wheel on a jk, it's not designed to have that small of a wheel, the price difference between 15 and 16 is minimal. I just don't see the point in grinding down the calipers?

Not to mention most 35" R16 tires are going to be load range E which will be rough as hell on the road. Load range C are much better for all on road uses and just as good for almost all offroad uses from what I can gather.

I think a lot of it is just the remnants of old school thinking where 15" rims were the De facto standard on off road 4Xs. Ironically, many wanted and needed larger brakes to effectively stop the big rubber which required larger rims.

Maybe several reasons for the 15" wheels. Cheaper tires, cheaper rims for rock crawling, taller sidewalls and load range C so smoother (squishier) ride when aired down.

I have been running 15 inch 35 X 12.5 MT/R Kevlars on Procomp Rock crawler rims and they are working great but there was slight interference with the Rubicon front brake assemblies. Used a die grinder to take ever so small amount of materiel off and they are just fine.
