I risk offending a few people here, but I don't believe JE Reel can really compare to Tom Woods drive trains. Woods' drive shafts come with yokes and have the superior track record relative to build quality and reliability. Woods makes a compelling argument for his JK products here.

Do some searching here and on other discussion boards, there are plenty of JE Reel owners who have been less than enamored with their purchase; OTOH, you'll be hard pressed to find many folks speaking out negatively about Tom Woods.

I have front and rear Tom Woods drive trains in my JK; with regular maintenance, they'll outlast the Jeep itself, and they are art-like in construction.

Tom Woods has been the gold standard for quality and customer service for driveshafts for a long time. I have always used them in the past and will use them on my JK when my stock shafts call it quits. That is not to say that others cannot replicate their parts. JE Reel seem to be popular as of late.

Call both of them and have them explain why you should go with a given DS design and I think that will help you decide which one is the right choice.

Whatever one you get from whomever, change out the stock flanges with yolks.

x2

I bought the JE Reels and I am happy but I heard that Woods Customer Service is great and "I have heard" they have the trail hazard warranty.

I did not have time to wait for Woods drivelines at the time. I was building up the week before MOAB this year and they were close and in stock.
