Default Yukon gears, Motive Gear bearing kit - need opinion

ok, I am getting ready to rebuild my broken gears in rear axle,
new gears arrived today, and they are ... Yukon,
truly said I did expect Superior, but when I checked again Northridge website the 'kit deal' does not specify brand, ok, my fault I should ask when I was ordering,

anyway, what I got is Yukon gears (5.38) and Motive Gear bearing kit,

is that stuff good?
did anyone put Yukon 5.38's in JK?
need opinions

thank you in advance

They are plenty of people running Yukons. They are rebadged boxes and gears. Even Superiors...don't worry, it'll be fine.

I have Yukon gears from Northridge and have good luck so far. It is my understanding David has sold alot of the Yukon gears for the JK.

I’m running 5.83 Yukons with Yukon Master Overhaul kits. My gear shop prefers Yukon over Superior. They’re working fine for me.

If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call . We have not sold a superior ring and pinion for a JK in a long time. All the gear sets that we are shipping are boxed as a yukon gear.

Also the Motive overhual kits are timken parts.

Dont be stuck on the name on the outside of gears and overhual kits its whats inside that matters.

I am about to order a Superior Gear package with Motive Overhaul kits from northridge in alberta Canada...

I dont know to much about Motive.. hows the quality? what does the kit contain? Locally people informed me that the Yukon overhaul kit was the best because it contains everything.. but the Motive sells for a much better price.

any further info you can give me on Motive wiuld be a huge help,

thanks

I will tell you the fact. The only thing Motive is the box. Everything inside the kit is timken, Spicer.

Motive gear is one of the largest gear and bearing dist.in the US. They make private label bearing kits for lots of people.

Yukon puts together a great bearing kit it comes with two crush sleeves , You only need two crush sleeves if you mess up the first one.
You will be very happy with the motive kit

All I can say is that I am happy with kit I got from Northridge.

For JK gears I learned that all gears are coming from one manufacturer anyway and difference is only the box (distributor). My first set (5.38's) broke after couple thousand miles, nobody can say if it was install error or bad casting. Second set I installed myself and I am happy now.

Motive overhaul kit is good kit with good quality parts. It is more what You will need - good quality bearings, plenty of shims, two sets of bolts for ring gear (depends on what diff you are put it on).

As I said, second install I made myself - gears install pictures
