Default 35" MTZ too big for what i need?

hi
I need a lit bit help as im spending money all around and the results are worst then before
I drive my jeep 50/50 so 50 % on roads and 50 % on gravel, sand and a lit bit mud ( not deep, just after rain )
I have 3 " OME , with adj trackbars
Recentlly i have bought MT Baja MTZ 35" . I find it not to good for that what i do and need.
They are great but too big for my jeep, i lost performance, i have lost stability ( it becomes danger as hell, rolling all over the road if the road is not smooth) Breaks are week, steering is very poor and i do not see any adventages besides the look of my jeep to keep them.
So i have decided to change them. I like fast driving on gravels, i have notice that BAJA 1000 cars do not have so wide tires as mine so please advice what to buy
I consider Yokohama Geolandar 285, 11, R17 ( 33' ) . WHat do u think? As im not from USA i have limited options. MT took 6 weeks to import with tons of problem.
I can consider:
Yokohama
BFG
TOYO
KUMHO

Please help
Best regards
MARTIN

Thumbs up

Lower the Air Pressure

Adjust the Toe

Add a set of front adjustable control arms

Re-gear

Read these in the Modified FAQ's at the top of this area:

Q: On the road, what PSI should I be running in my tires?
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?
Q: What gear ratio should I be running with 35" tires?

And this one for the Toe:

Dang man, if you are looking to get rid of those 35's, I am dying to trade up my 33" Baja MTZ's. That will give you some power back if you do not want to regear. If you want to regear, that will probably solve most of your problems. Additionally, check your air pressure, when I got mine tires, the shop had them at 65 psi and the ride was terrible. I am rolling 32 psi and the ride is near stock.

I am serious about a trade too. If you have 17" MOAB's, we can meet somewhere in the middle and swap (with some cash from me to you of course).

HI
Yes , unfortunatlly swaping is not possible as I live in Poland...
Thank u for u all for u advice, i think i will move down for 33 and will use all adj arms to correct the ride. We do not hava too smoth roads here so even on asphalt roads i have big amout of body roll. Im afraid that most of that is becouse tire waight.
I prepare my Jeep for traveling more then for some short but intensive offroad , so if i have to drive 20000 km in the are of mongolia i thing less modifications and less for suspension components will be more safe. Is just guass as have nobody to ask besides U guys on this great forum.
So , is Geolandar A/Ts what i need and will be happy about?

Bets regards

Body roll because of tire weight?

You are having issues because you are not dialed in for that lift height. So guess what, you will still have the same issues when you drop down to 33's. (well, except for the lack of power. That should be a bit better.)

Drop the pressure in the tires, add some adjustable arms so you can correct the caster, and check the toe.

If you are set of dropping down to 285's, you may as well just pull the lift off. It isn't needed for that tire size, and that will take care of the handling issues...

X2....I have the HD OME coil lift (3.25" of lift) and run 33X12.50R17 STT's. The ride was horrible after installing the lift as it was really floaty at highway speeds and really undesirable to drive. However, after I adjusted my TF Lower front control arms for proper caster the ride was awesome better than stock. Get some Adjustable Lower front CA's get your caster dialed in to near stock before you ditch the tires. Also, look at adding a Superchips programmer if you have the gasser 3.8L if you can't afford re-gearing.

hi
thanks for all .
I think my JKS set of adj arms will do the job.
Anywya i think to swich OME for offroad evolution.
I will do regearing but the thing is that propablly i will change front axel for dana 44 , so is worthless now.
Today was first rain since i have put MTZ on and i have to say they do the job, so i will put additional effords to keep my 35,
How about steering. Is PSC ok for highway drive? I have look at he posts but not really straight answer.
