Default Rubi Dana 44's Fr/RR

A question for you pros. If i swap my axles for the Rubi D44's with 4.10 gears will i need anything other than the wire harness for the OE lockers? Trying to match my X w/ same capabilities of the Rubicon. Also looking into a transfer case from jbconversions (NVG241OR) to swap out. Prolly should've just got the Rubicon in the 1st place, i know...live and learn...but anyway, plan to keep mostly everything stockish, maybe a future TF Leveling Kit, Spacers and no bigger than 33's. BTW, it's a manual.

A couple of switches to activate the lockers, indicator lights to let you know they've engaged are real cool and if you're switching out the transfer case you may want to look into a Flashpaq for the crawl setting. I wasn't too impressed with the the stock throttle control while in 4x4 once I dropped my T/C ratio.

I did the same conversion to my X. I love the RockTrac t-case over the stock case. I just got the Rubi wiring harness, clip the leads off it, wired up some toggle switches with a in line fuse.

Of course if you don't mind spending the cash you can get this. It also saves you from having to install another switch.

Default Articulation

Correct me if I am wrong but I read somewhere that articulation with the factory swaybar eDisconnects is not as good as manual disconnects. That discussion has me thinking of getting rid of my eDisco in my Rubicon for manual swaybars. Any comments or feelings on this?

IMO, unless you get a GREAT deal on an OE sway bar disco, JKS Quicker Discos or the gen 2 Rough Country discos are pretty easy to deal with. If you wheel hard and wheel a lot, I have heard some bad things about the OE disco. (and some good things).

Save your money for other mods.

I agree, manual discos are way cheaper and just as effective. If my X didn't come with the OE disconnect I'd have gotten a manual disconnect.

That said its funny to watch guys crawl under thier jeeps after a muddy day of wheeling trying to get the manual disconnects back on. Usually its raining, the spot isnt' flat enough, and the sway bar links won't line up, awesome.
