Default Just about ready to buy my lift!! Need some last minute help!!

Hey guys. I'm about ready to take the plunge and buy a lift! I believe I've got my mind set on rough country 2.5" lift. I'm must not sure if I'm picking the right one. I've searched this forum left and right and top to bottom but still cant decide. I've already decided I'm going with 33s this fall. It's my daily driver so I don't plan on getting to crazy. Don't get me wrong, I will be doing some wheeling. I just don't want to have to buy a lift and then have to keep on adding parts to it. I've got it narrowed down between 2:

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2perf.html (coils and shocks)

and

http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2.html (spacer lift with shocks)

Both are about equally priced. the spacer lift is about 30 bucks more. I just want to be sure I get the best bang for the buck. If anyone has either of these lifts feel free to let me know how you like it. Thanks in advance!!

I got the 3.25 lift from Rough Country for about $400 shipped. The ride did not change at all. It took about 2.5 hours to install with a friend helping. I was going to run but ended up with 35's

That's the problem with buying a dirt cheap, incomplete kit. When you lift, you need those 'added parts' to bring you back to a stock-like ride. No way around it. The question is, what is your tolerance for a non-stock ride?

You need to decide what to do about:
Links?
Caster correction?
Axle re-centering?
Stretched brake lines?

Will you need any of it? Dunno. But you could very well want to correct all of it.

Just noticed you have an auto. Keep an eye on that front driveshaft...

Do it right the first time.. or it will cost you later.. thats my advice

Thanks Echo. You make a good point. Right now I don't think I'll want a bumper and winch. But adding mods to your jeep is addicting! Once you start you can't stop!
