Question Who has a Clayton Offroad Lift Kit?

Colleagues,

Who has a Clayton Offroad Lift Kit?

Why is it a great kit?

Why would someone want to look in another direction?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

I installed a 5 1/2" one on my ZJ last year. It is the best built lift I have seen. Over built for what it has to do. A lot of flex and the ride is as good or better than stock especially offroad. I haven't heard of anyone running it on a JK, but don't know why. Call Clayton and talk to him. He's an ordinary guy that loves offroading, has a good crew and happy to answer any questions.

Thumbs up Can't go wrong with Clayton

I have a Clayton 4.5, it's the cat's ass! I've wheeled the hell out of it and no problems (well no problems due to the kit) On the road I would say it's good, ofcourse you're going to add some bigger rubber so it's road manners will change but I assume you expect that.

And I can't say enough about the Clayton team, I had one of those 'one in a million' problems and with one call they overnighted me a new part, no questions asked.

So other then the above mention 'one in a million' problem I mentioned above the only thing I would mention is the rear sway bar links gave me an annoying squeak for the first week. But hit them with some sticky grease and let it get worked in and you're golden.

To sum up, it's a great kit, from a great bunch of guys.

I got the Clayton 3.5" Lift from NorthRidge and actually got real close to 5 inches out of it. There were a few items that didn't go as well as liked but wasn't to hard to fix. The Rear sway mount area on the axle got in the way of the Rubicon Express Remote Reservoir Shocks but a little trimming on the mount and everything cleared. another thing on the lower rear adj. control arms my buddy drilled two holes and put in a grease zert. After a while the joints start squeaking if they aren't lubed. and lots of ARTICULATION LOVE IIIIIITTTTTTTT........ The down side is you need to grease it after going mudding or off roading but thats the majority of all lifts. I love it and I think I made the right decision going with clayton not to mention a life time gaurantee on the control arms if you I can't complain with that. Hope this helps...
