Default Help with removing Stock Exhaust!

Time to get a dremel, it's a great tool with lots if uses. I didn't even try to mess with that clamp, after reading all the post on here about it, I just cut it off. After that it took less than 30 minutes to get the new exhaust in.

I broke out the angle grinder with a cutoff wheel when I took mine off, made real quick work of it.

Default Bolt cutters

If you can get a bolt cutter on it, you can cut it off.

Had the same problem, and I have personally installed a few cat-backs, took to a local shop and they charged me $50 to install it, was less than the money in the "swear jar".

Default Update: Finished Cat-Back exhaust install

So I took one more shot at removing the stock exhaust before I sent it to a muffler shop and I was able to remove the old stock and install the new Cat-back exhaust!

This is what I did:

1. Removed the muffler from the extension pipe.
2. Loosen both rear bolts(18mm) on the transfer case guard. (easlier just to remove the guard because it will be in the way when the extension pipe needs to be removed)
3. Disconnected the extension pipe from both rubber hangers. This allowed me more room to use a 15mm socket wrench on the clamp instead of a regular wrench.
4. I connected the socket wrench with a pipe at the handle, making it easlier to loosen the nut.
5. Removed extension pipe.
6. Installed cat-back.
7. Bolted on transfer case guard.
8. Took it for a test run, Sounds Great!

It took me just under two hours to remove and install everything!!! I'm glad I didnt take it to a muffler shop and spend an extra $130. Thx everyone for the advice.
