Default XD Addict Black 18" Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 285/65-18

I was looking to buy this combination tire/rims for my stock 2010 JK Unlimited X. I didn't want to do a lift, so was looking to see if these are good on the stock suspension.

Will these work with moderate offroading and street? Anything else I need to prevent rubbing (spacing, etc)?

Thanks all.

I have become a huge fan of those wheels. Think they are some of the best black wheels out. You shouldnt have a problem at all. Just check the backspacing.

Those will work good. You will rub your fenders when stuffed.

PS: 18" rims will run very expensive for tires (when your nitto's go bald) and there aren't as many options as oppsed to 16 & 17's.

Is there a good source where I can read about backspacing for the Jeep?

Thanks for the advice on the RIM size. I will take a look at 17". What do you mean by "you will rub your fenders when stuffed"? Don't know the Jeep jargon yet;-)

Well when you flex your jeep out with your stock suspension, your tire will stuff your wheel wells like this:

NOTE: THAT THIS IS WITH STOCK TIRES.

At full flex, the tire will rub inside your fender. Look at a Terraflex leveling kit, its just really small spacers that go above your front coils. It will allow those tires.

a level kit will give you less rubbing but i believe it will still rub at FULL flex, but someone would have to chime on that statement.

Very similar to what I wanted to do.. i'm going with 295/70R18 as I won a 2.5" lift.. will run stock wheels w/ spacers until I can buy the rims, which will be the Monsters because I already will be at 18" w/ stock saharas.. let me know hwo the rubbing is as I have a buddy who wants to do something similar.
