Default GY Duratrac Treadlife??

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on 315/70-17 (35x12.50)tires for my JK. I like what I'm reading about the Duratracs and think they will fit my use pretty well. Can we get some reports specifically on treadwear? How many miles do you have on them and how many 32nd are showing? Are they wearing even on your application? How often do you rotate?

Much Appreciated!

Not sure if they've been out long enough to get an accurate gauge of treadlife since I think they came out a year or two ago. I only have about 1500mi on mine. For the most part I've heard it's best to rotate every 3-5k, or every oil change to make it easy to remember.

I have had mne for almost two years on my wifes GC and they still look new, no visible signs of wear. They have been absolutly awsome tires

I am coming up at about 6000 miles on mine and they look like new, just a little bit rounder. When they're brand new, they have a SQUARE tread shape.

Loving them every day!

Nothing constructive to add, but I'm getting 315/70R17s put on tonight! Can't wait.
This is all good to hear.

I've had them for over a year. I've been rotating about every 3-5k miles, and will be getting it done in the next couple of days. I'll have them give me the tread depth of all of the tires and post up "original tread depth"/"current tread depth"/"exact mileage" of the tires.

Appreciate it! The original should be 18/32.

I'd like to get the MT ATZ which has a nice aggressive A/T tread pattern and is 20/32 new but they are right at $80 per tire more.

The ATZ's are an OK tire. The duratrac would be much more suited for those who actually wheel their jeep and want severe snow rating with superb street manners.

The ATZs are more of a street only tire. I can't imagine hitting a backwoods trail with those. They aren't aggressive enough IMO.

I've got 12000 miles on mine and only have had them on since January. the tread is still squared off but now that I've been hitting the rocks, i've noticed some slight chunking but only when looking very closely. I've rotate them 2 times in the 12000 miles and they have approx 85-90% of the original tread. Not sure if that's good or bad for you but in my experience, that's pretty good.
