I have a friend that just painted his springs on his F250 a couple of weeks ago. It seems to be holding up. Believe it or not he used the new FUSION spray paint with Fusion primer. This is the same paint people have used to paint the fender flares on the jeep. It has a built in flex agent and bonding agent for plastic, but can be used on metal and wood. I figure it is worth a try.
