Default Rough Country 2.5" Coil Lift

Anyone running the Rough Country 2.5" lift care to chime in on what the actual lift of this kit is?

Also, as a cheap upgrade to a 2.5" TeraFlex Budget Boost do you think the brake line drop brackets, and sway bar connections supplied with the TeraFlex BB would work with the Rough Country, or would I need to buy more equipment?

My gut tells me that as long as the actual lift of the Rough Country lift isn't too much larger than 2.5" then my existing hardware would suffice.

I've had it for over a year now and with new front springs you do get about 2.5" in front and 2-2.25" or so in rear. I just added 3/4" spacers on top of front and rear and sits nice now. Pretty smooth and good lift and more of all you cant go wrong with RC's customer service. Just wish the kit came with the longer sway bar links to more the rear to the front, but for the price its a good deal.

I got about 3" at first but it settled down a little bit closer to the 2.5" after beating the crap out if it on the trails. I had to battle with the spring sagging issue they had a while back but I've been running the linear springs for about 8 months now with no problems.

The RC springs flex great so I would also recommend some home made rear brake line extensions and some quick disco's. Depending on what tires you are going to run you might want to look into some bump stop extensions. I'm running 3/4" spacers on top of my springs and I rub at full stuff.

Congrats on the lift Take some before and after pics to compare.

But what i can tell you is that you will want to get you some quick disco's for the front and find you anything that you can use as a brake line extension. That is all that you need to do

PS I love my lift and the customer service that comes along with it!

To the OP. I like the lift and the TF parts should work well with it.

i just installed a rc kits, spring for the series 2 kit it has the brakets for the brakes and rear track bar and rear sway bars then you move the oem rears to the front. when it was all done i needed to make no ajustments. with rough country you can buy one part if needed not the whole kit.

I just bought this lift yesterday. To all of you guys who have it installed, did it level out the jeep or do you still have a bit of the factory rake to it? Thanks

With the old progressive coils in the rear it leveled out. I now have the non-progressive coils in the rear and now I have a rake, which I don't mind at all.
