Default TF 2.5" coil lift installed - Stiff ride and death woble twice today!

Man, that's not a fun experience. I installed the kit w/ ome LT shocks last night but was a bonehead and didn't loosen and re-torque the front arms. So after the first experience, I loosened everything in the front including both TB bolts, shook and rocked the jeep for side to side, and then re-tourqued everything. I did rear end when I installed the kit (with the weight of the vehicle).
I also installed a 1" spacer in the front to compensate for the bumper and winch (not installed yet). I think with this much lift in the front I should have ordered and adjustable TB. I also notice a little play on the frame side of the bar and it also looks like the bolt shifted over a hair on the tb bracket on the axle. Looks like the hole might be egged out a little.
I'll have to fix that and get a trackbar installed - new tires/wheels will be here in 4 days!

Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, I'm really surprised how stiff the ride is! Not so much on the big bumps but the little bumps are harsh! gravel roads shake the entire jeep now where it used to just soak that stuff up. Hopefully the springs will soften up a little with time.

Side note: just measured my front end and it appears to be perfectly centered, and my steering wheel is still centered. Does that sound right with this much lift? Almost 4" in the front?

Yeah, I think you're right. I'm going to head to my dad's after work tomorrow and weld up some plate on the sides of the brackets and drill new holes. If that works, maybe I won't need a new trackbar since it appears to be centered?

Maybe the nitro OME's are aiding in the stiffness as well. My bud's 2.5" TF coil lift
is very soft with the TF shocks.

I thought about that too. I've always read how soft the ome shocks were though and that's why I went with them. Maybe they are stiffer than the TF shocks. I don't know but it rides similar to how my 3/4 ton dodge diesel did.

Welded up some heavy washers on both ends of the TB. Very tight fit now...no play.
I drove about 50 miles today and no death wobble but there's a definite shimmy in the front end at freeway speeds. I have more feedback in the steering wheel then I used to but I wouldn't call it bump steer. It feels like Death wobble is gonna start when I hit a big bump but it straightens back out. I'll check my balljoints tonight. I'm getting new wheels/tires on Thursday so maybe one of my existing tires is out of balance? Maybe that will cure it? Just seems strange that I didn't have any of these issues before the lift. Same wheels, air pressure, etc...
