From the few setups I've seen, the selectors are placed near the 4WD shifter.

I wish I could be of more help on the cable length

Installed a set on a TJ.
Put the rear selector on the floor between the door and the seat.
The front selector was mounted by the transfer case shifter.
Jk should have more options with the larger cab.

when i reroute my cable ill take pictures

i think i have a great position that keeps the levers out of the way but not so far out of the way that your always smacking your knees on them or trying to reach inbetween the seat and consle

the only problem with the location i chose was the tediousness of actually screwing it in place.

i might try tackleing this later today

If you haven't ordered your cable yet, consider the air actuated option. That is what I did on the front of my ZJ and hooked the air line into a tee at my CO2 tank. It requires 100+#s of pressure. I have the toggle air valve mounted on the console. Just a flip of the switch and it locks faster than you could with the lever and no adjustments to think about. So simple and the air line is a lot easier to route. The price is about $125 for the whole kit.

You misunderstood. I have the oxlocker on my ZJ and went with their air actuated cylinder. It screws into the cover where the cable does. Air pressure is shifting it into lock instead of the cable. I've never had a leak in the lines. Very easy to route the line and they use a simple push-pull connection that seals good and makes it easy to remove the cover if necessary. I made a shield to protect the cylinder. I had the cable until it got sticky and hard to push. The air is a much better setup IMHO.
