Default 285/75 R17 spacers or no?

Finally ran down the crappy stock tires that came with my 08 X. I have decided on 285/75 R17 either nitto or toyo which ever my tire guy gets me a better deal on.

My question is will I need to run back spacers or not with my stock rims, I did a search and every one is running 285/70 R17 without them but not the 285/75 R17 so I am kind of confused because the width is the same.

I also plan to put on the terraflex leveling kit as well for 1'' in back and 2'' in front lift.

I have them without spacers, and there is a bit of rubbing on full lock.

I was getting significant rubbing at max flew on my rear sway bar with 265/75R16 so I threw spacers on. Love how it looks, much more prominent stance.

hum if you were rubbing with 265's I should probably get the back spacers for 285's.

I had spacers with my 285's. Now I have wheels with 4.5" back spacing so it does not rub.

They will rub on the sway bar...

Choices? New wheels with 4.5" of backspaceing or 1.5" spacers. If you go with spacers, only buy the best (Spidertrax or Terra Flex).

I'm looking to do this EXACT setup as well, with the 285/75/17 Toyo M/T's and the Teraflex Leveling Kit, and was hoping to use my stock 17" Rubi rims without having to use any spacers.

Anyone try this? I guess if all else fails, I can try it, and if it rubs, always get the spacers.

I have this size on stock rims and the rubbing up front was pretty bad. I have the Dayster 1.75" spacer lift. I got Spidertrax spacers, but apparenlty you could just put a washer on the steering stop, you wont be able to turn quite as sharp.
