Default swapping stock 16 inch steel rims for jeep 17 inch rims and tires

I have a 2010 JK Sport with stock 16 inch steel rims. I have a friend that wants to sell a set of 17 inch aluminum OE jeep rims with 245 tires.

Can I run the 17 inch rims/tires on my JK?

If the 17 in rims/tires do not have the TPMS can I use the TPMS from my stock steel rims/tires?

Are there any other considerations?

Yes and yes. Welcome to the forum! The 17" rim is an option with the sport, so no worries at all.

You never stated your friend has a JK. Are his wheels off a JK 07> because the TJ also had a couple versions of 17" wheels if I'm not mistaken. And a TJ has a different bolt pattern.
