Roof top tend advice
I know some of you dont like them, or understand why someone wants one, but I do, so thats that. I am looking to pick one of these up here in the near future so I thought I would ask those of you that have them already, what you think. I have been reading a lot, and made a few calls but what do you guys have? And what would you recommend as far as brands, priceing, dealers, features....ect ect. This is a new thing to me so Im kinda going at it blind. The only two things I am set on is it haveing an aluminum base, and cost (not trying to spend $1,500 on a friggin tent). Im likeing the Camping Lab tent, but they are back ordered forever. So I need other options. Thanks for any help.
I just got one from Cascadia Vehicle Tents, but they are backordered until April. Its same tent sold by Camping Lab, I just happened to get a stellar deal on one.
I love it. Only been able to sleep in my driveway with it, but super comfy, easy to set up and put away and is like sleeping in a tree fort.
There is a forum called expedition portal where you could find a ton of info on these types of tents and other ways to set up your vehicle for overland travel.

Well after all the looking and reviews, Im going with the Mombasa RTT sold from Top-Tent.com. The owner is a great guy, and answered the phone right away every time. Great customer service, and he knows his product. Another selling point for me was the new fabric, and FREE SHIPPING. Not a lot of companies are doing that. The same tent from yotaparts4u (or something) had shipping added to it, another $200. So anyhow, tent ordered, got more camping trips to plan now. Thanks for the help you guys. Check out top-tent.com if you are looking for a RTT.
