Default rough country dual stabilizer rusting.................

anybody else having this problem?? mine are rusting like this on both sides. would this be considered normal, or should i contact rough country and see if they can offer a solution?? i'm wondering if they are going to rust to a point where they could break off. what do you guys think??

what's rusting, the hardware or shocks? If it's the shocks then they might replace them. If it's the hardware, then some of the galvanized coating probably rubbed off. Homedepot new hardware and/or take it off and paint it.

Sorry if the first post had a picture, I'm not seeing any pics.

I'd call them and see what they say. The worst they can say is "no". Or maybe they'll cut you a deal on replacements or at least give you the part #s so you can order them.

I've got the same issue where the ram attaches at the bushing. It's been like that since probably the first month I had them.

did you ever call them dan??? i'm not sure if it's that big of a deal, but it looks crappy and could possibly cause issues down the road.

I don't see a pic anywhere, but...

Rocks and road debris hits the stabilizer, knicking/pitting/denting it, and breaking through the paint. Leave it alone, and you get rust. I just spray mine with the cans of duplicolor bedliner I have left from spraying the hard top.

Haven't done anything about it. I actually removed one of the shocks due to some rubbing issues. If I ever have problems, I'll just swap them out.
