Default Goodyear MTR 35's close to the pinch seam

I have a 2010 unlimited with 2.5" TF coil lift and just added 17x9 XD Spy, 4.5"bs. with 35" GY MTR's. The pinch seam is 1/2 - 3/4 inch from the rear tire. Is this OK when flexed? I hear the rear tire will move back under flexed conditions. Is this right?

It will move back, but still wouldn't hurt to cut the seam or bend it. There are write ups about it.

Cut it back, you dont want to ruin your new tires hitting your pinch seam. It's really easy and you'll be happy you did!

Why not just hammer the lip back out of the way and leave the metal intact?

How much of the pinch seam needs to be hammered back(towards the tub?) Please post a brighter picture with arrows. Thanks!
