Default budget boost just level or travel restored?

Does the terra flex budget boost restore any lost travel in the front axle /spring due to a heavy bumper and winch? or does it just relevel the jeep?
along the same line of thought Is anybody running just heavier duty springs up front .

If you put say heavier springs all around does it lift the jeep proportionately or will you still have the nose sag/rake?

Nope. BB kits use 2.5" spacers on top of the stock coils in the front and 2" rear. So the JK will not be level. Your better off getting a coil kit then adding 1/2" spacers to the front when you install the bumper.

I had the BB, the winch and bumper collapsed the springs all the way to the bumpstops. My bumper shipping weight was 65 lbs. The BB will not support weight. good luck

^^ To counter the above anecdotal opinion...

I have a teraflex leveling kit and body lift with 34s. I added the RR8500 w/synth line and rough country winch mounting kit, total about 100lbs, and the stock rubicon springs hold up fine. Sagged about 1/2" initially and I added an additional 1" spacer to offset. Wheeled hard with no problems, and clears the bumpstops except at full stuff as it should...

I'm still undecided what to do as far as lifts go, but the BB seems to be the best fit for me. Are you saying that an after market bumber (no winch in the future for me) will make the front end drop with the BB vs. springs? Or will they both drop the same?

Why would anyone ever think that a synthetic donut on top of a spring would travel? It just lifts the body on the spring.

I think what he's saying is the bumper will make your factory coils sag more so than aftermarket coils. I think the rule of thumb with the BB kits is if you're going to add a bumper or winch, go straight to 2.5" coils and skip the BB. The factory coils just won't hold up to the weight and you'll be riding on your bumpstops. I've seen it happen on mine

How about we stop the peeing contest, and answer the OP's question?

The bottom line is that a BB will not increase the travel that you have. The amount of travel that you are getting with the coils you have will not increase (or be "restored") by a BB. For that to happen, you will want to purchase new coils. If want a good amount of travel, you will probably also want to get aftermarket shocks when you get the new coils. The aftermarket coils are probably designed for more overall travel than the stock coils, so you will probably want to select a shock that is designed for that same amount of travel.

Pucks and shock adapters may get you some height, but they will not get you the flex that new shocks and coils will.

Did you not see the Teraflex response. Go with the lift and spacer, over the BB.
