Default RWL rubbing off!!!!!

I washed my jeep today and while scrubbing the mud off my bf km2's i noticed that the raised white lettering rubbed off on certain letters. i thought maybe it was cause i was rubbing too hard so i eased up with the sponge. i used armour all car soap and wax to clean them.

just wanted to know if anyone out there has experienced the same thing.

I will try to take a pic a little later, its just cuz it's really raining hard outside right now.

I would just keep rubbing until I had Black wall tires.

How old and how many miles on the tires? Is it happening to all of then? I don't have that tire, I have the BF KO's on my early Bronco, and I never have had anything like that happen.

You'll probably have to live with it though. I would say that you should come up with a very fantastic wheel'n story (like the fish that got away story) to explain it if asked.

Something like "The canyon got so narrow..."

I would call them, or start with who you purchased them from. It never hurts to try. They certainly can't do anything about it if they don't know of the problem.

I agree, rub it off or flip the tires. I have rarely seen a vehicle that I liked the white letters on the tires.

If you really do like it there has to be a way to touch it up.

When you find out the secret, sell it to all of the MT/R w/Kevlar owners that could only get OWLs in their size.

Someone used to make a paint pin of sorts back in the 80's that you could go over the letters with. I don't know if they stil make those or not. My sister used to do her mustang tires with it. I think they sold those by the headband ,leg warmers, and running shorts . Haha
