Default First trip out west in the Jeep :)

Alright guys, I made my first trip out west with the Jeep and I can tell you it was the time of my life!!! I'm sure you guys understand how badly I want to be back out there!

We started the trip by heading to Vegas for a couple days for my wife's competition and then headed out to Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon North Rim (camped here), Bryce National Park (camped here), Moab (camped here and we have one hell of a story!), and then Aspen (camped here too). Overall, we put about four thousand miles on the Jeep and she performed flawlessly! I sheared a couple bolts off one of my beadlocks on the trails in Moab but other than that no troubles at all. This is a trip I will never ever forget and one that really helped me realize some of the important things in life. I have never had as much fun living out in the woods for week!!

Here are just a few pics of the Jeep in some beautiful places. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as did!!

I just returned from a trip to Missoula Montana from home in North Carolina, but unlike your story I was never off road. After reading the Forum on oil useage I took along a quart of oil, but although checking regular I am pleased to say no oil use what so ever for the entire 6,000 miles, and my JK drove perfect with great gas mileage.

For the next month you'll be finding red dirt in every crack and crevice of your jeep as a reminder of what a great time you had. Zion NP is one of my favorite places to visit.

Being retired I have the luxury of taking lengthy trips every couple months. If I'm headed east, it's almost depressing. There's nothing like the American West, and especially the southwest. Sounds like you have a great time; post up some more pic's!
