Painted door hinges?
Tried searching, but can't seem to find the thread I was looking for..
I love the look of the black door hinges (I have a stone white Unlimited) - I know they sell a overlay bracket for the hinges, but they're expensive. How should I go about painting them myself? I'm assuming I should leave them on and tape off around them for overspray. I was thinking if I take them off, I'll either chip paint or I'll never get them to align like they did from the factory.
Any input and/or pictures would be very helpful.

I want to do this mod as well. Seems to me that if you tape the door and the tub exactly around the hinges before you take them off, then you should know exactly where the hinges are supposed to sit once you have completed the painting. Wouldn't that solve the alignment worries?
