Here are some of the highlights, in case this disappears. I included the exterior shots to (a) verify that the front bumper hasn't changed and (b) show (I think) the new blue and red. Also note the new seat fabric, which you can barely see in a couple of shots.

Wow !

Good catch, thanks for the link. Now I can officially say that I like the 2007-2010 dash better. Not too crazy about the chrome, steering wheel and rounded surfaces.

Thanks

Many thanks to "ScruffyRubicon"!!!

The new inferior is still horrible even in black, to many curves and shiny parts.... and I can't even imagine taking it off road... way to fancy , not my test...
Now, I like my 2010 Rubi even more! the simplicity, that was and always be the "Wrangler Magic"

The simplicity left aloooooooong time ago with the CJ. Wrangler interiors have been less than desirable in terms of simplicity ever since. Not one Wrangler has had a "simple" interior IMHO they've just gotten a bit more complicated with each iteration. You do have to admit though that this new interior is leaps ahead in material quality.

Enjoy you JK though!

How can you tell the material quality by looking at pictures? I bet is better, I just can't tell how much better.

I saw that the X model returns (on the towing section), never saw anything about the "Full Instrumentation", no carpeting in the rear compartment, cruise control has an asterisk stating "if equiped" although I saw that all models would have CC. Probably no more $50 CC upgrade for the ones that didn't got it from the factory.

It looks like you will be trading one 12v outlet for the power mirrors.

I don't mind the new interior but nothing there urges me to trade.

I'm not really for or against the new interior, but I am disappointed there aren't any signifcant changes to the '11 "Uconnect" system. Based on the videos of it in the Grand Cherokee, it looks like it's pretty much the same unit, software, and hardware we've been using for the past 4 years (save for the Wi-Fi feature). I was hoping for something new, especially since Google Navigation on today's cellphones absolutely annihilates any handheld or in-dash navigation unit, especially when it comes to features and updates.

You're right it is hard to tell, but you can tell. But really specifically I'm basing the comment off of the steering wheel by itself. I've seen that steering wheel in the new Grand Cherokee just last week and I've of course seen the steering wheel in the JK. Believe me it's leaps and leaps ahead of the JK steering wheel in terms of quality and appearance. Folks may not like the new steering wheel but it's definitely a higher quality piece of gear. I'm pretty sure the rest of the interior will also be a great step up in terms of materials and fit and finish. Some folks think it may be too fancy.....but it will bolster Wrangler sales I bet.

So far I like it ok, it's not worse than the 07 -10 JK that's for sure. I still wish the interiors were more CJ like though. I loved that simple interior back then.

Thumbs up

This is hilarious! Typical corporate idiots! Internal departments dont' communicate with one another. They have not even released an official press release and/or photos, yet the department working on the user guide, posts it online! Just hilarious...

Also...everyone seems to be complaining about the chrome. There are 500 after-market manufacturers making every little replacement for every little jeep piece. Don't you think that in short order, someone will make replacement parts to swap out the chrome? Maybe I am wrong, but you can buy multi-colored replacement screws for god's sake...I would think this would be easy!? No??
