Default Removing lift, can Adj trac bar stay?

I am going to be removing my lift and was curious if my adjustable trac bar can stay. I broke my original trac bar bracket and had a beefy fabbed. Pretty sure the stock one wouldnt line up right now.

Your stock one should work with it when you take the lift off, just pull the axle one way or the other to line it up.

Just take the lift off, and adjust the trackbar accordingly. If it doesn't go short enough hook it up anyway. Should be close enough to hold you over til you find a stocker.

From his post I gathered he still has the stocker, and just beefed up the mount. But yes, your right on the adj, just can't see why he thinks the stock one won't go back on.

Im sure the stock one will go back on, I just dont think it will line up centered. The new bracket looks like its a little more to the outside than stock. And yes, I do have all my stock Rubicon suspension stuff. Kinda lookin forward to the OE ride again.

Well, if the mount is more to the outside the adj may work better to get your axle back centered. No reason it couldn't stay unless at its shortest setting your axle was way off.

Why are you ditching the lift?

Im not ditching the lift for the ride quality. Im leaving for the Navy soon, so my wife will be driving the rubi while I'm gone (she likes it more than her CRV). The lift is over 3 years old so it has been beat on pretty bad. Since I have the Xenon flares, im going to try and run with the "LCOG" thing. If I dont like it, oh well. At least the wife will have a more comfortable/easy to enter ride, and I can just buy a more capable lift later. I bought/built this Jeep back when there wasnt much for options in the aftermarket field.
