I told the wife I wanted to start using protection.
Hi All,
I have a birthday coming up and I wanted to get some skids. I'm looking at the poison spyder evap skid, for the money, you can't go wrong. The other skid i was considering is plate for my oil pan. Which would you guys go with first.
The area I'm in is not rocky, mostly easy trails although will go out of state from time to time but not often.

Interesting thread title
Between the two, I'd go with the Poison Spyder Evap skid first and then tackle the oil pan. One of the things I liked is that adding the Poison Spyder Evan skid actually gained some clearance as it moves the evap up higher than stock location. Eventually, I plan on replacing my oil pan with the Benchmark Oil Pan which is why I haven't gotten a skid on that yet, but Rancho makes a good stick on skid for the oil pan that people seem to be pretty happy with.

Evap needs to be handled first I think. Oil pan is in danger if you do alot of rock crawling, but the evap could be damaged by a small rock kicked up, a branch, road kill bouncing around...and all that can happen on the road let alone on the trail.
