Default This is what I am ready to purchase for my lift! Any suggestions?

Hey guys you have all been a huge help to me finding a lift kit. I haven't purchased it yet but this is what I have in my shopping cart:

1. Rancho 4" Sport Lift Kit w/ RS9000xl Shocks

2. Teraflex Front Lower Flexarms

3. Teraflex Rear Upper Flexarms

4. Teraflex Rear Adjustable Trackbar

5. Currie Enterprises Rear Coil Spring Retainer Kit

6. Rock Krawler Coil Spring Correction Wedges

7. Teraflex 1/2" Front Coil Spring Spacers (to adjust for the rear correction wedges)

That's what I am getting ready to order, but before I do, I need to know...Is this complete? Do I need to purchase any driveshafts? What else would you guys recommend?

This list totals to be $1850. Then I will get the $500 Rancho Rebate = $1350. Not to shabby but I want to make sure I am purchasing the right things to do it right the first time!

What about...

or

or

These have everything included and they will probably work with you a little on price.

With the Rancho lift, I did not think you needed the Flex arms since their lift consists of a bracket which fits between the stock control bars and their mount bracket and relocates the mount point lower and more forward to replace the lost caster. I'm equating Flex arms to upper or lower control arms thinking they're the same thing.

Yes the flexarms are just teraflex's version of the control arms. So you're saying I don't need any control arms because the kit comes with brackets to adjust my current ones?

Pull your finger off the 'I'm going to order all this crap right now' key, take a step back, and figure out what all of the components do. That rancho kit has brackets for the trackbars and control arms. Are you going to use them? If so, why are you getting adjustables? If you are using the adjustables, why are you paying for a kit that has all the brackets?

My opinion, find a kit with adjustables - or get a basic kit and add them. Don't pay for parts you won't use...

Ok well I knew the kit came with brackets, but a lot of people were recommending that I get adjustables, that's all. So if I just don't get the adjustables and I just use the brackets, I am assuming it won't be adjustable at all. So basically I'll have to trust that they are adjusted to the way I would want them.

And I see that I don't need the brackets AND adjustable arms. But you're right there is no point in buying both

Alright I'm gonna hold off for a little bit because people who have this lift kit say the brackets are good enough for the time being, instead of adjustable control arms and track bars.I am gonna try to get some more feedback about whether I need adjustables, otherwise I can just get it and upgrade to adjustables over time. Assuming nothing will break in the meantime.

To anyone else who is running the Rancho Lift:

Are you just using the brackets that are included or did you upgrade the control arms and/or trackbars. And is that all you needed or did you get other things to?

Thanks for all your help guys I will be able to make a well informed decision thanks to all your help.....

nthinuf:

I know if I buy this kit but end up upgrading to the adjustables, I'll just be getting the brackets for no reason. But for a little over $500 its well worth it IMO since that includes RS9000xl shocks. I just need to do more research though before I pull the trigger. Hopefully I can make a good decision before Aug. 31 because that's when the rebate ends if I end up going with Rancho.
