Default Hemi = more towing power..?

So I realize that dropping a Hemi in will allow me to have more power on tap to pull with, but I'm curious if anyone has real world experience towing with a hemi that you can share...

Here's the plan:
  1. 5.7L Hemi & tranny
  2. Coast 1350 HD driveshafts (front & rear)
  3. Dynatrac ProRock 44 front axle
  4. RCV Ultimate Dana 44 front axle set
  5. Front Big Brake Kit

Northridge 4x4 will be doing the install. Target right now is mid to late September (working with David to schedule after they're in the new shop).

Any experience towing with a hemi install in the JK..?

Thanks.

Take a look at all of the other 'how much can I tow' threads. Doesn't matter that you have a hemi and a totally upgraded drivetrain, you're still stuck with the 3500 lb limit. (unless you can get an authorized engineer or agency of some type to give you their seal of approval to tow more, or get whoever set the JK's limits to upgrade them, or move to Europe...)

But yes, night and day difference towing with a hemi (jeep commander, in my case) vs the anemic 3.8 in the JK.

I wish someone from Jeep would chime in with an explanation as to why the same vehicle in Europe has twice the tow rating.

Just found these two threads that are really applicable that didn't come up in my previous search for some reason:
