How to transfer warranty?
I am in the process of selling my jk, I know it sucks it was my dream car but I took a job down on wall street and couldn't pass up the opportunity so the jk has to go but in the future will Be back. My question is how do i transfer my factory warranty?
This is in the front of your 2009 warranty book, regarding the regular factory warranty:
"Warranty coverage applies to all vehicle owners. To protect you in the event of a recall or any questions concerning your warranty, please tell
your dealer about any ownership or address change, and write the details here."
The "here" refers to the owner log on page #1.

the LifeTime powertrain warranty is non-transferrable..
the factory 3/36 warranty applies to anyone driving the vehicle into a service bay...
I once drove a rental TJ into a dealer for a warranty repair and they did it...
if you bought an extended warranty you will have to read the provisions on transferring it...
sorry to see you selling the jeep.. but really it is just a Jeep.. you can always go buy another one at some point in the future....
