Default What does the Lube Tube in the Tcase adapter do exactly?

If anyone knows?

What does the Lube Tube in the Tcase adapter do exactly? Also, The tcase and tranny are obviously serviced seperately so no fluid is in the tcase adapter...

Does the lube tube help put some fluid on the seal that goes between the Tcase adapter and the tcase itself?

thanks

OK, I'll bite. What do you mean when you say Tcase adapter? Are you asking about the lube tube that is inside of the Tcase?

I had the misfortune of taking a TC apart about a month ago.

There is an adapter that is between the transmission and the transfercase itself.

This adapter bolts to tranny, then the Tcase bolts to the adapter. The adapter is probably about 6 or 7 inches wide. inside of this is a lube tube. On the tranny side a plunger like rubber fitting faces the tranny where they mate and from there runs a metal tube to the other end of the adapter and stops in the wall above the seal that is between the adapter and the Tcase.

The picture attached is similar to what our jeep has.
