Painted Mirrors?
I haven't seen or heard about anyone doing it. I don't think the plastic if painted would look right as it has a textured finish. You could pick up a set of "chrome" covers for the mirrors and paint them prior to install. They have a smooth finish that would look fine if painted.
You don't need to paint the covers, if you sanded the mirrors then sprayed with a high build primer and wet sanded in-between coats then painted it would come out as smooth as butter. It might look good but would most likely get scratched to shit unless it's a street queen. As for this beach rescue edition those plastic body armor pieces look really strange.

I sanded and painted the mirrors, door handles, fender flares, bolts, tailgate hinge covers, tail light surrounds, hood latches, gas filler, hard top and licence plate frames on my 2008 Silver Rubicon 4 Door and also on my 2010 Charcoal Gray Rubicon 4 Door. No issues and they look factory!
